A whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), known locally as Olhufathi miyaru, is a member of the family Carcharhinidae (order Carcharhiniformes). It reaches common to 1.6 m; max. 2.1 m. It is found across the Indo-Pacific and Eastern Pacific.
