A blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus), known locally as Uraha kalhu miyaru, Falhu miyaru, is a member of the family Carcharhinidae (order Carcharhiniformes). It grows to a maximum of 1.8 m. It is found across the Indo-Pacific.
