A yellowfin surgeonfish (Acanthurus xanthopterus), known locally as Vilu kaalhu, is a member of the family Acanthuridae (order Perciformes). It grows to a maximum of 65 cm. It is found across the Indo-Pacific and Tropical Eastern Pacific.
