A black marlin (Makaira indica), known locally as Kalhu mas hibaru, is a member of the family Xiphidae (order Perciformes). It reaches common to 3.8 m; max. 4.6 m. It is found across the Warm waters of the Indian and Pacific oceans. Occasionally in Atlantic ocean.
